In July 2018 we started a new project to help the families of our students. Six women were selected to receive training in tailoring. They will be trained for 6 months at the end of which they will be given a sewing machine, an iron and iron table, for them to start their own business at home and thus financially support their families.
In 2019, 24 women participated in the Sewing Machine Project. One of the students from the "2018 Class" was one of the trainers for the 2019 class. At the completion of their training, they also received a sewing machine, and iron and iron table.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we were not able to start this project in 2020 but hope to do so as soon as life goes "back to normal."
